I would like to be able to also specify the occasion the item is being added to my wishlist. Such as birthday, anniversary, etc..

Dear Gray, You can create lists for any ocassion you want. You can associate a date to your list or you can explicitly create a Birthday or Christmas list. BTW, different types of list have different functionalities.

I think this is the best list site on the web. I looked at about 10 different ones and this one was the most versitile (different occasions), easiest to use, option packed site out there. I am so pleased with the way you can add an item from any site on the internet, see the picture, have the description and price and website added automatically. One of the other great features I like is if I want to view or buy online, it's just a click away! You guys have done a tremendous job developing, maintaining and updating this website.

The only things I would do different is an option to change the color settings for you list and if there was a way to select how many spaces up or down you can move an item. If I need to move an item in the middle of the list it takes a while to move it one item at a time. Maybe if you could click and drag or type in the number of spaces up or down you'd like to move something OR allow the user to put items in a numerical order so when they want to move something all they have to do is type in the number they want the item to fall under. Also I liked the Guest list the way it was before. It was easier to read and less filler. It would also be nice to have an optional guest sign in for each list. Not as a single screen but just when someone visits a list there would be a blank at the top of the list around the explaination that the visitor could type in their name so you can who's visited your list (especially if it was another TTIW user). It would be nice to know if the people you invite to your lists actually visit them. Another thing that might be neet is when the screen comes up with someone's multiple lists on it, next to the number of items it would be nice to see how many items are remaining to be bought. That way if someone's entire list has been fulfilled then you know not to even bother looking. Oh yeah, and it would be nice if after the date of the event you could e-mail the user a list of each item fulfilled and the person who bought it so you could use that as sort of a thank you note list/check off. Then you could thank your gifters for the items and for visiting TTIW. Another great thing would be if there was a link you could click on that was "Printable Version". That way if you decide to shop in the stores you can print up someone's list and take it with you so you have the picture to go by even if the store clerks don't recognize the name of the item.
Even still, what a wonderful site this is! So easy (literally) my grandpa uses it!! I will definately continue to use it and will sing it's praises until I can tell everyone I know! I wish I had known about this when I had 5 in-store registries for my baby shower!!!!!
Keep up the great work TTIW staff!!!! You've saved my family's Christmas list phonecalls and confusion!;)

Dear Farrah, We are very happy you like the site.. but this is a whole list of suggestions!!! :-) Before answering to all of them.. I have to tell you that we have a full schedule of releases for the next month and a half that we hope will make the site easier and more engaging. One of the things that might change is the way reservations work now..your idea of showing who visited your lists might probably be used, But changing the way reservations work won´t be done till way after the shopping season since we don´t want to disrupt the service in this time of the year.
Regarding the Guest list I know the other version gave a better inmediate picture, but this one is clearer for most people. It might take a lot of scrolling but all the required information is there. It was needed since a lot of users were getting lost there.
There is no print button, but if you have a modern browser list's will print in a very clear format. (Go to files->Print in your browser menu).. try it, it will only print your list and none of the site's menues.
The drag and drop idea for moving items is fantastic but I'm not quite sure how much Javascript it will take to get it done.. we'll see about that but it's not among our priorities right now though I really like the idea. I have added it to the long term to-do list
We really have a big to-do list right now.. you'll keep on seeing changes, we hope you like them. Thank you for your suggestions!!
