About Us
The Company
TheThingsIWant.com is the leading online universal (means it works anywhere) wishlist and registry website. Although imitated, we have proudly stayed ahead of the pack. TheThingsIWant.com is owned and operated by the beach-house conglomerate WhiteStripe Inc. based in Miami, Florida.
Our objective is to help customers navigate the Web and Shop Online more efficiently and more naturally. Customers can create their own universal, Shopping Lists and Gift Registry lists simply and quickly for FREE. Which means we provide kick-ass online wishlist services!
We also provide Online Retailers and Portals with unique shopping tools & applications that they will find profitable to offer to their users. Our applications can be applied to Retailers' Sites and Portals to keep customers coming back and help turn browsers into loyal buyers.
We started the company, way back in January 2001, because there really wasn't a company that fully appreciated the complexity of what different users wanted from a gift registry or wishlist. We wanted something that would really give all kinds of users the functionality they were looking for. We recognized that teens making a wishlist needed different things from a bride-to-be. And that a Christmas List was very different from a Baby Registry List we knew they all had one thing in common: a desire to add items from the many sites they wanted and not be restricted to a set of retailers.
So far we've done this all on our own without resorting to venture capital and we're very, very proud of that. But most of all we're proud that we truly believe we have developed and continue to improve the best registry and gift list website period. And we believe that our customer base, size and loyalty are all a testament to that.
If you have any questions or comments please get in touch with us. We are always happy to help in any way we can. And, it must be said, comments from our customers have helped us considerably in every improvement we've made. Thanks you for using TheThingsIWant.com.

The People
Guy White, our CEO, holds a law degree from the University of Kent (England) and went on to qualify as a barrister - but (perhaps misguidedly) believed that marketing would be more fun. For 15 years he has been a marketing consultant and has worked on the accounts of a bunch of grand Fortune 500 companies including: Microsoft, IBM, American Express, Nestle, The Financial Times and (going way back) AT&T.
He is the founder of WhiteStripe Inc and is the one who had the original idea of building a universal wishlist application. He also has the talent of finding determined and hard working people and the wisdom of giving them full freedom for doing what they do best. You can check out his MySpace page.
Emiliano Martínez Luque, the Lead Developer and Software Architect of TTIW, is a highly regarded Argentinean web developer with more than 10 years of experience. Emiliano has been through a lot in the last couple of years and managed to keep a semblance of sanity by spending most of his waking hours coding TTIW. He has steered TTIW through the various stages development and gets trully very happy when he browses through the web and finds some of the positive things our users write on their blogs.
You can learn more about Emiliano by visiting his homepage.

Wow! You guys are awesome and the site is incredible! People began looking at my registry today and I've already heard great things about how cool it is. Thanks for having such a great service available!

Thanks for your great site. We love it. We got everything we asked for. Almost wish we had asked for more stuff (but can't be too greedy). Really, Thanks.
