With a 1:1 aspect square format photography function, it gives a resulting composition that differs from the standard rectangular vertical or horizontal format, giving a unique style convenient for blog photographs. Vibration correction functions helps compensate for camera shake when it is detected, reducing the blur that tends to occur in situations such as telephoto and macro photography. Face Recognition identifies faces in a scene to optimise focus, exposure and white balance for the faces. Ricoh's popular and powerful macro functions enable shooting of objects as close as 1cm with wide macro and as close as 25cm with telemacro.
