Pairing a high-tech transmitter and probe with a wireless remote receiver, it pages you from up to 100 feet away. Just enter the type of meat and your desired degree of doneness, then insert the probe into the meat's thickest part. An audible alarm and LCD temperature display on the receiver let you know when the food is done to your specifications. Choose from six kinds of meat (beef, veal, lamb, pork, chicken or turkey) and select one of four pre-programmed doneness levels. The transmitter measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1"; the receiver measures 4 1/2" x 3" x 1". Each runs on 2 AAA batteries, for a total of 4 (included). 90-day warranty.
