Excellent online yarn supplier- They only sell their own brand of yarn, but it's good quality stuff. Their customer support is excellent should you have problems with them. Prices are affordable and color cards are available.

Crocheters Not Welcome at This Store!- They have nice quality yarn and it is sent fairly promptly. However, as an avid crocheter who has no desire to knit, I am offended by the attitude of this company that knitters are the ONLY people who use yarn and indeed, the only crafters on earth worth serving. The ONLY mention of crochet anywhere in their catalog or web site is one lonely crochet hook "for embellishments". I mentioned this to their customer service and all they would reply is "knitting is the owners' passion". Well, crocheting is MY passion and I use yarn too. But I won't buy yarn from a store who openly doesn't care that my beautiful craft exists!

Slow shipping, but great yarns- The only complaint I've ever had about KnitPicks, and the only real complain I've heard from others, is in regards to their shipping methods. They used to use Smart Post, and packages would sit in sorting stations for days before moving onto the next, followed by however long it would take the USPS to deliver it from the nearest station. I don't know if they still employ this method or not, but people do say that it's very common for their package to take the full fourteen days to be delivered. Also, they do not ship internationally, so unless you have friends or relatives in the United States who will ship the package to you, you're out of luck. However, KnitPicks will resend your order if it is not delievered after fourteen days, and they usually have wonderful customer service.
In response to the crocheter...please get over yourself. There is a reason the business is called KNIT Picks. It is a business catering to knitters. I have seen many business that sell only crochet hooks and patterns. Your craft may be beautiful, but it's not the only one that exists. Good yarn is good yarn, no matter where it comes from. I would have no problem purchasing yarn from a crocheting business. It's all fiber crafts, after all.
