Incredibly expensive items that are very very cheap at local markets - ripoff!!- I'm blown away by Novica.com. They have the audacity to sell 'handcrafted items' that are sold here in Thailand for 1/20th and sometimes 1/50th of the price they are charging.
Their gimmick is that they show photographs of the 'artist' who creates these items and they act like they are one-of-a-kind. Visit any large handcrafts market here in Thailand, and there are hundreds of them, and you will see items that Novica is selling for more than $100 selling for $4.
An absolute ripoff - you couldn't PAY me to purchase from Novica because I will guarantee you they are not paying their suppliers anywhere near what they should be paying them in order to charge their exorbitant prices - they're basically ripping off the locals. Yuk!
